Upcoming Programs and Projects

This fellowship was inspired by a cooperative effort of several Rotary Clubs and communities who planted trees on three continents and were inspired by the resulting ecosystems and friendships. Below, you will see projects planned and developed by our partnering clubs and business partners as well as opportunities to meet your fellow members to discuss opportunities to contribute to a greener planet.

Florida State Parks Reforestation Initiative

The Fellowship of the Trees is thrilled to announce a significant initiative to plant thousands of trees in Florida State Parks this year. In collaboration with individual parks and local Rotary Clubs, we are embarking on several ambitious projects. A key focus will be on restoring native ecosystems in Jonathan Dickinson State Park, where we plan to plant between 3,000 and 5,000 cypress and slash pine trees next fall. Additionally, we are sponsoring the planting of thousands of Longleaf Pines in reforestation projects across North Florida, supporting vital efforts to restore this ecologically important tree species. These projects will not only enhance the beauty and biodiversity of Florida's state parks but also contribute significantly to environmental conservation efforts within the state.

If you live near one of Florida’s Beautiful State Parks and want to engage your local Rotary Club in efforts to plant trees, please contact us to see what we can do together to make it happen.
